    Who shed their life's blood
    In battle for her time and again.
    White is there for Purity,
    Blue to remind us be True,
    And Red of blood for Bravery,
    Soldier, these represent you.
    So when you hear the bugle sound
    As it did in days of yore,
    And you gather yourselves round
    To prepare to go to war,
    Stand tall and carry Her proudly
    As those before you have done,
    Firing your volleys loudly
    Bear your arms and crew your guns,
    For many have fought and died for Her

Journeying Onward

Sat May 16, 2009, 12:26 PM
Well there have been a lot of things going on lately.  I have moved on from my former spiritual group to seek answers and growth following where the Gods lead me; it is both exhilarating and terrifying at the same time to no longer be a member of a group where there are always elders to consult, etc.  I have to be accountable to myself in seeking my own answers.  I have come to see that a lot of what needed to happen in my life is to get out of the ruts I had dug myself into and move on towards whatever life brings.

I am feeling a lot more connection to the universe as a whole and the Gods specifically.  This seems to be a double edged sword in many ways… watch for this subject in my writing! :p

I know more about who I am than I did before and I see how much has changed recently.  This tells me that so many of the people I know no longer know me; I am still growing and becoming and I realize these acquaintances who don’t spend much time with me any more may be surprised when they finally start to really see who I am now.

Namaste,
Kenneth

A Feature!

Thu Apr 30, 2009, 10:13 PM
Here is my result:

I am the sonnet, never quickly thrilled;
Not prone to overstated gushing praise
Nor yet to seething rants and anger, filled
With overstretched opinions to rephrase;
But on the other hand, not fond of fools,
And thus, not fond of people, on the whole;
And holding to the sound and useful rules,
Not those that seek unjustified control.
I'm balanced, measured, sensible (at least,
I think I am, and usually I'm right);
And when more ostentatious types have ceased,
I'm still around, and doing, still, alright.
In short, I'm calm and rational and stable -
Or, well, I am, as much as I am able.

I find this to be quite amusing.

On My Way Out of the Valley!

Sun Apr 26, 2009, 6:35 PM
I would like to say thanks to all the people who have :+fav: and :+devwatch: me and/or my works.  It is great to feel validation as an artist.  I feel a lot more confident sharing my work now.
:D :w00t:

I’m now starting to climb out of the darker part of where I had found myself emotionally and it feels great!  I’m not back to where I want to be, but it is as if I have climbed out of a hole and up onto a hill top and can now see there IS an end to this valley I’ve found myself in; I can also now see the course to chart to get out.  But as one of my friends keeps telling me… “Baby steps.”

I now find that I am more firmly on my path towards priesthood.  It’s going to take a while and it is neither a short nor easy, but I AM worthy of it and fully capable of accomplishing it.  And I intend to share my thoughts and musings, apophthegms and belles-lettres, convictions and deductions with everyone here.  I think it is going to be quite an adventure.

Blessings to you all and may the Divine shine upon you!

Namaste,
Kenneth

Where I am right now

Tue Apr 14, 2009, 7:52 PM
I've been through a lot personally lately and I am taking a bit of a break to work on myself.  I think this may end up benefiting my writing quite a bit as I think that writing may one way I work through where I am and where I'm going.

It seems that the gods can be unfair at times.  But are they really or do we just think so from our limited perspective?  I intend to find out more about this on my spiritual journey of self-re-discovery.

I would like to say thanks to those who visit and especially to those who leave comments.
I am a bit nervous about putting myself out there for critiques, but I realize that it is only a tool to help me with my writing and art; not an indictment on my worth as a person.  But it's still scary.

Until next time,

Namaste,
Kenneth
